The Cat's Travel Guide: Keelung (基隆)



*Why you should go to Keelung?
Famous Keelung's miaokuo night market, port view, Ershawan Fort (also called Haimen Tiansian), Helping Island and Lovers Lake. Keelung also have a lot of historical site. And also, Keelung is a center of fishing industry at Nothern Taiwan, everyday there are hundreds of fishing ships coming in bringing us all kinds of seafood freshly from the sea.


*How to get there?
By Train
Go to Taipei Main Station and take the Taiwan Railways train to Keelung station, the price of the ticket will be from 43NTD to 66NTD, depend on which type of train you want to take.
By Bus:
The bus from the East-West bus station of the Kuo-Kuang Bus company (the building also serves as the terminal for the Taipei - Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport service) just to the left of Taipei Railway station is the quickest way to get to Keelung. The price of the ticket is 50NTD.

When you go to Keelung's Miaokuo Night Market, remember to try the fried sandwiches!! Also, Keelung have another name calls " The raining town", so remember to bring your umbrellas when you're there!! And if you have more time, checking out the Northern Coast. It's really beautiful!!
