We HEARTs TCP(9)!!!!-Sweet world from some guests from Hostelworld.com

Some sweet words from our guest again!!
AW~

From Aidan (Ireland):

"This was an excellent hostel!
The location was perfect - just 4 stops from the main station.
Also, it's on the same line as Danshui, so if you're planning a day trip, you don't have to transfer! There's a really good night market just around the corner from the hostel,
but it's still far enough so that you don't hear all the noise from the market.
The staff are super friendly and helpful.
Lukas was kind enough to show me around the night market and recommend some food to me.
I will return here!"

From JinChul Park (South Korea):

"It is located near the station.
Friendly staff, delicious food. Nearby university.
Good location!!!
Good staff and fun. I'll remember forever this guesthouse"

AWWWWW~
Jin Chul gonna remember it FOREVER!!
Thank you Aidan and JIn Chul,
hopefully we can make more people happy with their trip like what we did to you guys!!
Come back soon!! :)

We HEARTs TCP(8)!!!!-Sweet world from some guests in chinese!!

Some sweet words from our chinese guests!!

Come back to hang with us again soon!! XOXO

Thanks for your sweet words to warm our heart!!

真的很感謝你們耶!! XOXO

We HEARTs TCP(3)!!!!-Sweet world from our guests!!

WE DO REALLY LOVE OUR GUESTS!!
Another 2 guest left us some really sweet words to show us their love on www.tripadvisor.com,
check it out!!

"Great deal, awesome location, friendly people and modern decor-

With minimal Mandarin language ability, I was in need of a cheap place near Shida where I could stay until I found an apartment.

This place has it all: location, a good deal, and best of all, amazing people. Many young people all over the world stay here and it's very friendly and welcoming. People not staying at the hostel would even drop by to hang out by the kitchen and lounge area.

The decor is modern and clean. There's laundry service and you can even cook in the very nice kitchen. Being a stone's throw away from Shida's famous night market, it's in an ideal location. One can also hope the Taipower MRT to travel and do touristy things. The hostel people are also very friendly and helpful should you need any help.

Oh and free internet with AC. Doesn't get much better than that.

~azurehook from Taipei"

"Become The Cat's Pajamas' Fan!!-

I loved this place and so will you! The place is very easy to find and is conveniently located near the Taipower MRT station, giving you access to the whole city. There are cafes, convenience stores, restaurants, etc. all within walking distance. The neighborhood is safe (I suppose most all of Taiwan is pretty safe!) and not noisy at all.

The place is warm, modern, and welcoming by both guests and operators. The vibe is very good, facilities are superb, but oddly enough, I didn't see any cats or their pajamas!

When I return to Taiwan, this is where I'm staying. You should too!

~bishop341b from San Francisco"

AWWWWWWWWWW~
The Cat's Pajamas will never be where we are without you cute, sweet, and lovely guests.

COME BACK SOON!!

We HEARTs TCP(1)!!!!-Sweet words from Eric Wu

Here's some SWEET WORDS from one of our guest- Eric Wu!!
We almost break down in tears when we saw this article!!

"My Experience at The Cat's Pajamas Hostel-

The first thing I noticed about The Cat's Pajamas is the cleanliness. Your hostel is, without a doubt, the cleanest hostel I have ever visited. I was also highly impressed by the charming decor: the furnishings were tastefully selected and contributed nicely to the ambiance without being overwhelming. Bravo! Overall, the hostel feels very clean and comfortable, and the extra amenities (e.g. free public computer and in-house laundry washer and dryer machines) are certainly appreciated. Most importantly, the staff are always cheerful, extremely knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful.

I was really glad to see the Fresh review and the Peng Si entry on The Cat's Pajamas Hostel blog (travelers always love having as many ideas as possible). Since you and your staff have such a rich knowledge about Taipei, how would you feel about holding a weekly "TCP orientation"? The orientation could serve as an opportunity for guests to learn practical information (how the bus system works or where to buy a SIM card) as well as cultural information (Taiwanese food and local Taipei customs). And of course, once guests start talking to the staff, they'll instantly see that everyone is friendly and speaks English.

You could even hold a combined game night/orientation, so that guests could play Monopoly or Jenga with the staff, and also have a perfect chance to ask any questions they might have about the city. People can sometimes be shy, and it would be a shame if some travelers never found answers to their questions simply because they were embarrassed to ask. The advantage of a scheduled orientation is that it would create a comfortable setting for guests to ask questions, while meeting the staff. To me, that kind of experience would make your hostel truly memorable.

It would be especially cool if you could organize some kind of Shida night market tour. Perhaps one of the staff members could take a small group and walk through the market, while briefly explaining the different types of food available. It might sound simple, but I personally feel that the night markets (Shida and Shilin) can seem overwhelming at times. Even though I had a lot of fun overall, there are so many unique varieties of food that I could not help but feel quite confused sometimes. Of course, it doesn't help that I cannot read most of the signs! I imagine that I am not the only person who has experienced this confusion, and I think a quick tour (say 30-60 minutes) could really make a big difference. And because the night market is close to the hostel, guests could always revisit and re-explore the market on their own time. Since this kind of event would clearly be above and beyond what is normally expected from hostel management, I think it would be appropriate to charge a small fee if there is enough interest (perhaps 50-100NTD/person).

Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts. Have a great week, Bevis!
Eric
